Getting a Little Rock class date?

Got the wings middle of August...My unit is activated and I am an extremely low priority so it has been like pulling teeth to get a C-130 school class date. On leave right now, but if it runs out I will be stuck sitting around on man days with my thumb up you know where, and not getting paid saturday/sunday. Is there anything I can do to get my own class date, or start the process? It's a reserve unit.

I have been working in the Training office at my C-130 unit for the past year and a half, and there is no excuse to be sitting on your ass. Ask the training officer to give you a phone number to call someone in charge of C-130 slot allocation maybe at the Pentagon (we call the guard bureau, which is a little different than a reservist). If the training department is no help, ask if the unit has a formal schools department. That is really where the days will come to when you are placed in a class. Ask whomever works there to call the appropriate slot /schools allocator and get the lowdown. You must be on a list somewhere and I would not be surprised if you are not. You may have slipped through the cracks and need to get some poeple off their ass. Also tell them to put you will volunteer for a fallout slot. The Rock always has people not make their class date and may want to fill a slot with a few days notice. Good luck bro and let me know what info you get.
