Agree with the brother about getting another runway. No good reason to land w a 10 kt tailwind unless it's the only possible option. Landing w 20kts of tailwing would be in the heart of the stupidity envelope.

Meanwhile, the G200 can be a very squirrly machine on the runway, much more so than the avg business jet.
 
New York approach may not be able to set you up with a better runway, but once you're on with tower they should be able to take care of you. A few weeks ago we were cleared to land on 19 with a 15-20 kt tailwind. We told them we were unable to land with those winds and they promptly offered us 24 without any delay.
