I heard they were going to subcontract with UPS to be a feeder airline.breds98 said:I have been reading the many posts about Northwest and their new airline Compass, and was wondering if any had any opinions on the future of Pinnacle?

Vref+Factor said:Pinnacle's a dog sh*t airline under dog sh*t management. I worked for them for a year and they fired my ass because I failed to write up a captain who threatened to slit my throat. After I refused a trip with him due to an obvious safety of flight issue, they asked for my resignation. All the other pilots there are f'ing awesome though, ... but as far as management is concerned ... f**k em'

I would simply have told him to just try and see, you shouldnt be intimidate by those kind of asshole. I cant wait to fly with that captain, then i ll do the same thing as you did, and when he threatens me, i ll just take is head and slam it on the yoke and ask him to repeat.
No, they won't be Mesa, because mesa is soon to be an indusrty leading contract.Windsor said:Pinnacle is zipping right along into the abyss at .75 Mach and FL310 just like the rest of the regionals....with the exception of low cost Mesa. Pretty soon they'll undercut everyone in the biz and all regoinals will be mesa. Wont that be cool!!!! HA!
And you don't think the ERAU Capt program or GIA is PFT?turbinej said:PFT has been done with at Pinnacle since early 2001 or sooner. At the time if you Had less that 1200tt you had to pay your training cost that was reimbureded to you over a two year period every month this is the way I understood it. Approximately 85 percent of pilot that are at Pinncale today have not paid for their training. Senority 0-200 I know did have to pay and that when most airlines you had to pay.
I know every single street CA hired during that time and just about all of them were against PFT, so I'd be curious to know who you are.I don't fall in any of those groups. I was paid during training and given hotel as a street captain in 01 or I told them I would not take the job if I did not get both.
Inco-fu*king-rrect. They have all their ratings BEFORE they get to GIA or ERAU's Capt program. They pay for their training in a turboprop or MD90 or whatever to get hired at a regional. As far as low timers go. They don't pay Pinnacle, They pay their flight school earn their ratings.
So they don't pay for a job, they pay for an interview...?Pinnacle has an agreement with certain flight schools when they complete their training program that Pinnacle will offer them an interview, not a guarantee position.
