Sorry to hear that about the Tradewinds guys..

Airplane problems:

They hired and trained for 4 whales, then found big problems on some planes during heavy checks.

2 flying, 2 not.

Not sure if some junior A-300 drivers are getting the boot as well.

Total 169 pilots and F/Es on the seniority list. After Black Saturday, 139.

The guys on the street, current and qualified on the B-747-200 may get an easy invitation to Connie, Polar or Focus however.

That sucks guys. I hope it is a short furlough. This is the slow season afterall.

Did all those guys get typed in the Classic?

CSY Mon,

In such a case, are the 30 pilots the last on the seniority list or all F/o, with some captains being reverted to F/o for the time being?
If it is a Main. related issue, why do you think A300 pilot might be affected as well?
Just curious, I have been looking at TW for a while and I am trying to get a feel for it.
Thanks

Sk3

Some junior captains are being booted as well.

They have too many A-300 folks on the list as one a/c per month will be down for scheduled heavy checks all year.

I have not seen a list of who is furloughed, but the 30 bottom guys are mostly 747 pilots and F/Es with a few junior A-300 pilots, perhaps S/Os.

This sucks. A good friend of mine on the 74 got hit. He is hoping for a short one, but isn't holding his breath. He is firing out them resumes.
