It's certainly has become a tough market out there. I suggest hitting all the local airports and network that way. Ask friends at your airline if they know of anyone looking for help. I wish I could help, but things are quite slow out here (NY).

If you are serious about networking, you need to join BizAv Central and Pro Pilot World.

Chicago is tight (there are many UAL guys looking for work right now) but there are still jobs to be had...

Good luck!

Flight Instruct... 2 airline jobs with 1800 TT you probably need PIC time anyways

As others said....network as much as you can. 1800TT and 2 SIC airline jobs is NOT going to get you much attention these days...(just reality)

Look at an entry level job (SIC in a King Air for example) that has upgrade opportunity. On demand charter places are sometimes considered the lower end of "corporate" but are a great way to bang out some flying and grab a type rating or two.

Realistic mins for most OK corp jobs today are 4-5000TT, some PIC, a few type ratings, and a degree...bear in mind ref's also help a lot.

Boiler Up is right - this and the other corp boards are a fantastic way to network.

My department has hired people from contacts made on these boards. The $10 (or whatever) most of them charge is well worth the info you get, especially if new to the business.

Good Luck!

Ahhhh.... What is this refreshed feeling that I feel...

I know, its people actually trying to help other people and not demean them on this website. Its good to see. Its helping to restore my faith in humanity.

Thanks guys!

G200/Boiler--Yeah, thanks for ruining the snarky, sarcastic put-down I had all teed up for skipper...

Well, I guess it's back to the USAir/AWA and Delta/NWA threads for me. Or, for a REALLY good time, maybe I'll head over to pprune--I haven't hated on the Ozzies for a while. ;) TC

P.S.--Seriously, good luck, skipper. It's a tough transition these days but a lot of people have gone before you and made it. G200 and Boiler are good sources of info (if not fashion, in G2c's case... :D )

Shrinky-dink Submissive Sally Slippers (aka - Crocs) are NOT manly pilot-type attire!

DO NOT wear them in the vicinity of corporate flight departments if you want a job there...

...unless you're inviewing with the G man. Then, wear Crocs, and bring fruity beer.
