I just got walking papers from USA Jet Airlines @ YIP last week and was wondering if any furloughed NWA pilots have had any luck breaking apartments leases in the DTW area. My landlord wants about 2k for me to break the lease early, and I don't have it. Any suggestions or experiences are welcome......TXS

Look at your lease...

Isn't there a clause about employment transfers, etc? I would argue that this is an employment transfer -- loss of employment.

PM if you have questions -- I'm from Michigan
