FTC check for non-US citizens at xjt

Any info. on background checks for non-US citizen xjt new hires? Do we have to fill out the FTCCP forms from website or will the airline take care of this some other way?

Good question.

For what's worth TSA did an outstanding job working with me to get me approved.

On the other hand I was not happy with Mesa's job as far as FTCCP goes, therefore declined the offer.

Did you have to fill out the online FTCCP stuff at TSA and Mesa?

I did have to fill an online app at TSA. Later the DOJ determined that since I already have a type rating I was elegible for expedited process and the online request was cancelled. I was granted training approval 7 days after expediter request. TSA was very helpful throughout the whole thing.

On the other hand at Mesa, they make everybody sign the DOJ disclaimer on the interview. They seem to do it by themselves. I was not given any info on anything, I even had to make them aware of the fact that I need to get DOJ clearance.

Thanks for the info. I am glad you got TSA instead of Mesa. They have other problems as well!
