Anybody have experience with Freightrunners in MKE? What is a typical route? Pay? Do they hire into the Beech 99? etc..etc.. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think they do UPS feeder runs in the 99 and some other ad hoc freight charters. their website also shows a C-402 in pax configuration. If anyone else has info please chime in!

Freight Runners

It's been a while since I was up that way but...for what it's worth.

They do have Beech 99's, but when I checked last year, they weren't hiring directly into that. They have C-207's, several other light twins and from what I heard around MKE, MX was pretty good and pilots were happy. Of course, it is the midwest - and flying a C-207 with nothing but a gallon or two of alcohol for the windshield is...character building, to say the least.

I know they had a scheduled run to Parks Airport in IL/St Louis, other than that, there used to be a few Freight Runners people who frequented this message board. Perhaps they have moved on - not sure. Seems like a good place to work, best of luck!

Take care,

Frieght Runners

They fly in and out of our airport every day with an old 402 that is about to be scrapped. "Jim" flys in at appx 7:30am, and flys back to MKE appx 7:30pm. Round trip, it's about 1hr 30m. I heard from another one of their pilots that he averages 400hrs a year. Pay seems good. I'd love to work for them if I had the flight time...

Yeah you only say that because your a$$ got fired!

Yikes!!!!!!!

Stay far away dude, I mean it!!! 2 weeks ago their maniac DO beat thi sh@t out of another companies pilot in CWA for taxiing in front of his 402 and blowing it around a little. This is a true story. If you don't believe it call the Mosinee, WI police dept. They had to detain this clown for the better part of the morning. If you want more details PM me......

Hey Eight...drop me a line...is that Matt or Chip?

was there for four days and bolted

I got a job there about 5 years ago. I was there for 3 days and got the H*** out. The MX was horrible and the owner was........shall I say......................colorful. Chip is tough to work for, but I've got friends that worked there for a few years and didn't have a problem. All I can say is watch your back and remember, when your in the plane alone Chip has no say in what your decisions are. If your not comfortable then dont do it. But remember he has to make a living, and the level of pilots he has to hire are not that experienced, so he has seen a lot of pilots that should have gone but didnt. As a regional jet captain I can see where he gets frustrated, but he CANNOT make you get in that airplane.
