I don't think this ad was to replace Mr. Conte. Aero Charter has been short staffed for quite some time.

I think the wording is funny, but it basically seems to mean that if you are a decent pilot, you're in. I'm sure that it's just thier way of making it clear that they've got to be comfortable with an individual before putting them in the airplanes (the same thing as any normal hiring process).

I'm guessing that they are looking for more expansion (they've expanded rapidly in the past few years) and are just trying to get pilots lined up. There isn't exactly a glut of 1200 hour pilots in the immediate Albuquerque area.

If it weren't for that 1 year thing, I might be giving them a call myself in a few weeks.

Man, you guys are all kinds of pessimistic aren't you? Bad things can easily happen to decent operators. They aren't the best out there, but I've seen and worked for worse.

Lets see. 13.5 hour duty day divided by $95 a day = $7.04 per hour, but $6.30 an hour to start.

Is anybody out there so desperate that they would work for these jerks? Are they running a hotdog stand or a flying service?

Geez.

I love how people pipe up about stuff they have no idea about!!!!! As far as replacing a dead pilot that crash happened almost 18 months ago and wasnt the companies fault at all. It was 100% pilot error and was a very shocking blow to the company and the family. Aero Charter is one of the best 135 companies out there and the pay is alot more that any regionals!! some of their runs pay $160 a night and your duty time is only 7-8 hrs. Just like 95% of all 135 companies their planes are older and dont have the most modern avionics. almost all of the flying is vfr and is a great place to build multi pic while looking for a turbine job. before you bash a company by their hiring add, maybe you should talk to some of their pilots that work there and find out. If anyone wants legit information feel free to pm me and the rest of u can blast away!!!!

I fly for Aero Charter now...As far as 135 jobs go this one kicks ass. Moneys better than average, management is really laid back, never pressured to fly when you don't wan't and you even get paid if you no-go the flight, mx is on par with the other 135's I've worked for probably a little better, if you need a day off its not hard to get etc.. etc...

We do have some long duty days 13 hours or so but not all the runs are like that. We have quite a few where you duty 4hours and fly 3. Theres been opportunites lately to fly extra and make a couple hundred bucks a day. All while wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

That crash was a little before my time but from what I've heard the company had nothing to do with it.
