I'm trying to find an easier type of research. More along the lines of what fortune 500 companies have flight departments that they own and operate. I could go down the list individualy and then find each website and then search for any possible openings but that dosen't help me find out if they have any planes and pilots or not...unless they're looking for someone, most likely however they've already found someone by the time I find them.

Is there an association or group or webpage that I just havent found or heard about yet? They don't have to even be a 500 company, just a company that hires its own pilots. Where to find a list I dunno.

it's a pretty broad answer i suspect, but I've made up my mind a while ago on what segment to work in. So I've been trying to find out what I can.

thank ya.

NBAA has a guide that has all corporate operators and thier equipment listed....maybe check that website.

some guys here work for Fortune 500 (or Fortune 5) companies and I think you will find most operate the typical Gulfstream, Falcon, Bombardier equipment and YES, most jobs are not advertised but are filled from within....but...it certainly cant hurt to network!

Time in type certainly is not required, a good, professional attitude and an education usually are!

I would say typical new hire may be 4500TT 1000 jet time a type rating or two, a 4 year degree (not necessary aviation related). Living in the vicinity already is a big plus also, but relocation in not unheard of. As stated before, internal references are GOLDEN!

Good Luck, corporate flying can be a good career!

well....

NBAA is good but i'll need to pony up money for the directory book or get a CD rom copy burned for me from some generous soul. theyre not making it availiable to me uinless im a member. I can find lists by certin categories however theres no list of equipment with them, at least it's a list of some kind....

so..if someone has last years copy?......

im just interested in an F/O position, where I can be for a good while. I don't intend to bounce around from company to company any longer. If I score lucky, I wont have to move ever again once I get on.

Check at your local FBO for the guide.

Do your "airpirating" at your local FBO.

NBAA Directory

I've searched the NBAA site for the directory as well...couldn't find it. Can anyone provide a link to the directory site? Thanks.

The NBAA does not actually have the directory online, you must be a member and they will send you the print or CD version. What info are you looking for? I may be of some help.

Try another FBO with a 135 operator

Most 135 operators have the directory. Also try the airport manager.

A friend of mine borrowed a copy from the airport manager or find a member and pony up $50.

Good Luck,

JH
