So the bankrupt boys approve their own proposal and call it an MOU. :D

Yeah, I'm confused, the statement says the MOU needs to be approved by everybody else (USAPA, AA Management, LCC management).

Yet presumably they have been negotiating... so at least some of those parties gave their tacit approval. It can't be just an APA wishlist. Or can it?

It looks like they are trying to control the pace of things in an effort to get rid of Horton. Crandall's push to get the unions to agree to a seniority integration before a merger would cause a delay and make it more likely that AA exits bankruptcy with Horton in charge.

If APA really wanted their "MOU" to be effective they should have figured out how to have USAPA and APA join together and announce their joint approval of an "MOU".
