I've been working on plugging contact info into a program called Act! and using it to generate form letters and resumes for mail and fax.

So my question is, these are kinda gonna look like form letters, and I wonder if that would be a bad thing. Anyone know if the HR people care about the presentation?

Form Letters

Unless you are doing a mass mailing of resumes, I would avoid sending out form letters. The fact is that HR, the DO or Chief pilot DO care about presentation. If you know something about the company, or better yet know SOMONE in the company, make sure its in your cover letter.

If it is a response to a job opening, make sure you take the time to show how you fit their qualifications (usually in bullet form) pesonallization WILL get you noticed in the pile of resumes they usually get.

Good Luck!
