From article:
For decades, Ford produced its popular Taurus sedans at a plant next to the busiest airport in the world, Atlanta's Hartsfield. But the 130-acre lot has sat vacant since 2008 when the plant was shut.

A local commercial real-estate developer bought the land and now envisions something completely different: a mixed-use project, with office parks for firms that need quick access to Hartsfield, apartments for pilots and airport employees, hotels and shops.

"We saw the development opportunity because it was a large contiguous tract next to the busiest airport in the world," says Scott Condra of Jacoby Development, the project developer.

Last thing I want is have jets fly 200 above my house on my days off. 26r is the busiest rwy in ATL. And it's still 15-20 mins before you get to the terminal since you still need to drive around the airport to get there.

Nice try, but he will have to do better than that to convince pilots to live there.

Sweet! Another set of buildings to screw up the air on short final. I hope they build this one higher than the Ford plant. Bottle of the good stuff to the first to put tire tracks on the roof.

$100 bucks says there's noise complaints within the first week which prompts some sort of newfangled procedure to appease the new idiot owners/renters.

You'd love MDW. Used to walk to work. 20 min. to the gate.
