Well, you obviously don't speak french otherwise you'd know there is a difference. A big difference. Some of the "french" words used by the Canadians aren't even used by people of France(or in this case or any other case, the French).
Hell, I speak Spanish, does that make me Spanish???
Also, you don't know the History of Louisiana/New Orleans, as some people do infact speak some form of French. Just like they do in Quebec City. Albeit, the vast majority of the people in Quebec speak some form of french unlike Louisiana/New Orleans.

OK, here goes,..born in Quebec City and have lived in New Orleans. I would say I do know a little about the language and both of those places. That's why the comment struck a nerve. You really have no clue what you are talking about.
