Recently, I had an awesome opportunity to spend a day with some FedEx pilots. We went to eat at Lee's BBQ on 156 and they were totally convinced this was the best BBQ they had ever had. It's okay, but...here are some better options when going into AFW:

- Sonny Bryan's is just on the southeast side of the airport...excellent BBQ

- Chinese Buffet (don't recall the name) across the street from Sonny Bryan's and behind Schlotzky's (which is good also).

- If you have a way to go into town and want to get some really good food, Babe's Chicken on Main St. in Roanoke. The best fried chicken and chicken-fried steak anywhere. Food is brought out by the platter.

- Also, if you have transportation there is a whole gaggle of restaurants if you go south on I-35 to Western Center Blvd. (i.e. Joe's Crab Shack, Zio's, Salt Grass Steak House, Waffle House  , etc. etc.)

All the directions here are really vague but just ask a local and they'll give you exact directions. Hope this helps and eat well!
