The word around Scare-o-services in MIA is that a couple of Tradewinds 747s have been offered by the lessor to Focus. The deal would facilitate transferring furloughed Tradewinds crewmembers and the two A/C will be operated as a separate ACMI operation. Discuss...

I don't know jack about this with focus/Tradewinds, but Paul Anchower, aka "the cruise", is one cool dude. I wonder where the "h-dog" Herbert Cornfeld has been.

Hmm, that is a new one.

Not so sure that it has an element of truth, but.......

And when is this suppose to happen? If true, it sounds like Tradewinds might be running out of airspeed and altitude with its 747 program.

I can assure you that is a total frabication. Focus doesnt want or need Twinds airframes, if P&W powered jets were on the table there are better ones out there to be had i.e. the Q powered 747's that JAL are parking this year. As far as absorbing their crews, I can assure u that is not on the table either.

Yeah, it sounded fake to us at Tradewinds as well.
We do have 3 Q powered ones and wish we had 4.

Not sure where this rumor is coming from, but Scare-o-Services better be careful circulating that stuff, both Focus and Tradewinds are good customers there.
