Review procedures for flying approaches with altimeters set to QFE. Copy conversion tables for this purpose to 8 1/2 x 11 size, laminate them, and keep in your flight bag. Do the same for the metric altitude conversion chart. Study cold weather altimeter corrections for instrument letdowns and approaches and know where to find them in your A.F.M.

For handlers, keep a healthy amount of U.S. dollars in your bag too. If you can get any gold or enameled lapel pins from your company or some western aviation organization, keep some of them in your bag for the the same purpose.

If you're having a few rounds with the locals, don't try to keep up with them drink for drink. The drink vodka from water glasses and they have years of practice.

Check your PMs. I just got back from Moscow 2 weeks ago.. Ill tell you all you need to know..

flying is simple as anywhere else. Just know how to use QFE.

Handling is fine, actually getting similar to regular FBOs anywhere...just allow a little more time.

as far as living in Moscow? Im sitting here right now. Its a real $hit hole. No way you want to live here. Worse traffic, pollution you will find.

YMMV but not enough money in flying for me to live here.

:crying:
