Do any of you guys know about programs needing volunteer pilots?
I know of the flying eye hospital (ORBIS.org), and the Volunteer Pilots group (http://www.volunteerpilots.org/), but what else is there?

Does the Peace Corps take pilots? What about other foreign flying opportunities? I'm requesting info not on hired jobs, but volunteer positions, ones that offer $0 to a small stipend for food and basic living, but provide the aircraft and fuel.

Most places you are referring to require an A&P. This way when you break down in BFE you can fix it and get home. Look around, the missionary's have connections in the bush. It helps being involved in a church too. These people look for that.

I did a quick search after reading that post on CIA/PEace Corps. I think he's smoking crack. Basically, the Peace Corps likes to be independent, and does not like/want military and/or CIA ties because those ties would hurt their mission and cause other countries to distrust them.
That said, the best I could find were articles of the CIA being accused of planting agents in the Peace Corps, and Congress passing laws to prevent it.

So maybe I can't join the Peace Corps if I'm, at the same time, a CIA member.

But after serving in the Peace Corps, there should be no reason I can't get a CIA job. I don't plan on working for either, so no problemo for me.
