I might be moving to Tulsa, OK. Ive lived there before when i attended Spartan but at that time i didnt know anything about flying clubs. Im in one now in Rockford, IL and its a really good deal to be a part of. I did a google search and made some calls to look for some sort of flying club down there and could find anything. If anyone knows of one could you please send me some sort of info for a starting point. Thanks

If you did your traing/flying out in that area then do you know of a place to rent some complex airplanes and some twins for a decent rate?

Bob:

As far as flying clubs, I don't know of any around here. There are a few in McAlester but nothing local. There used to be one at Pogue, but it ceased operations about 2 years ago.

As far as renting complex stuff, there is a guy at TUL named Jim Bomer that has a 310 to rent as well as 172's but not real sure of the rates. There is also Christianson (sp) at RVS that fly's a couple of Duchass aircraft. Again not sure of the rates. There is also Robertson Aviation at RVS that has a A-36 for rent, but you must carry your own renter's insurance.

It is slim pickings around here for complex stuff.

Hope this helps.

Dude, thanks. It does help. I use to go to Spartan at RVS so i am familiar with the area and airports. I appriciate the help.

I had recently called around and was looking for a good rental aircraft, and Christiansen was the best one I found.

They have a Duchess, and it goes for $153 an hour. However they require you to have an instructor along for the ride, regardless of hours or experience, and you have to pay him on top of that. All said and done, you'll be paying about $200 an hour for the Duchess. But a decent plane, and is kept well maintained from what I hear.

As for a complex plane, the most complex they got is a Cessna 172 RG, adn it's going for $98 an hour.

Their website is below and lists all the rates and gives you more information about Christiansen
