This question is NOT meant to start a long-winded "thrashing" - just a simple question.... hear goes...

Over at Flight Options, I was wondering if the current contract negotiations will greatly improve their salary and bring it closer to the likes of the "new" CS, NJ and Flex pay-scales?

If "yes" - how long before these things might take effect?

Thanks!

I don't work at FLOPS, but I think it is safe to say that they have a LOOONNNNNGGGGGGG way to go to catch up with the rest of the industry leaders. Usually baby steps are needed. It might be a while.

Anyone at FLOPS have any news on how the talks are going? Hope you guys get something soon.

One thing is for sure after 20 months of negotiations the FLOPS pilots won't settle for anything less then the other frac pilots have. Plus a drastic improvement in work rules!!!

A contract will be done when management figures out that it is in their own best interest to get a contract signed and behind them before they start any new expansion plans.

What you're looking at is a company in dire straits. Compared to the other fractionals, its a joke. They can't even afford to keep their own airplanes. A contract (if they can get it) may improve things slightly in the short term but the company's image is shattered in the market place. Would HIGHLY recommend holding out for a real job. Your psychological well being is worth it alone. Do some searching around on the board and you'll see.

Over at FlOOPS, they have not even talked about pay in the negotiations yet as of last report...or settled on schedule, or other major items. The pilots are voting with their feet already, and the vote looks to be that the company will not last.

Last week in one day, 10 pilots resigned. Not a coordinated statement, that is just the amt that ended up throwing in the towel that day.

If you ask me, by Halloween Flight Options will just be a memory.

Yes, it is true-10 in one day. Most of them are coming from the FO's of the BBJ's. It is just not worth staying for crappy pay in a crappy plane.

I also heard 10 in 1 day. Either a rumor from one source with a lot of gab, or it is accurate.

I even hear that guys are not even worried about burning bridges. They don't even summit a proper resignation letter. Instead, they don't bother to show up on day 1 of their tour, having fun knowing the company is trying to get a hold of them when they don't show up for their airlines. The only way the company finds out that they quit is the PM gets a Fed-Ex box that has all their stuff that they are turning back in.

Now that shows how bad things really are.

who knows, they are like the energizer bunny. I thought I barely got out in time about 1.5 years ago. I though they were going to be toast just after the merger.
But they kept going and going.....

Funny how that tends to happen in this industry.

That Scheringa guy is clueless. Big surprise given that he came from USAirways. And I still remember the days when getting an interview at FLOPS was coveted by all - maybe 5 years ago...

Now thats FUNNY!!!

Imagine dispatch frantically trying to call a pilot who's supposed to be on his way to work and the FedEx box on the program manager's desk ringing.

I'd pay to see that!:D

Ask and you shall recieve. This is what it probably lookes like in the flops office these days. Fedex Box's

I bet the PM's must dread seeing the Fedex man. It's like their getting a "Dear John" letter.

I know that guys are told to send it USPS and put it on your last expense report. Ya right-I hear most guys are sending each item in its own box so there is tracking numbers for each item so FLOPS can not say you did not return an item. Whats that like 10 boxes per pilot? Sweet!

Every time I see the title of this thread I want to start singing some Ace... "how long has this been going on..." It's probably what Sh1theadringa says when hears how many pilots are leaving per day. What an idiot. After all, according to the website, FLOPS "recruits and retains the best pilots in the industry, bar none."

Show some green my brother FracMonkey as I am here to make your day!

I just left Fed-EX/Kinko's a proud man with my head held high for the first time in MONTHS after shoving my POS BB and sh!tty game leather jacket in a box and sent it to clowntown priority overnight to head home in the morning a free man!

After the crap CGF and our tea-bag polishing PSM pulled on me the last few days, I had it. I refused to break the rules and be unsafe! I was directly told when I was hired that we will fly by the book and be safe, and that was the standard I consistantly held and never faltered from to the very end!

An interesting issue to ponder, Now that "M" can hire two new pilots with my salary to replace me, Who's going to fly his airplane till then? Don't worry and loose any sleep over this "trivial" issue as Sanjia's metrics will still show the airplane "crewed" with my SIC on FBO standby.

I'm off to have a well deserved beer!

I didn't even bother to send my stuff back in. I asked for a FedEx number multiple times, and never received one. I wasn't going to take the chance of sending it in and not getting paid. I even sold my BB on craig's list.
