Does anyone know what you need to fill out to block your "N" number from being tracked? If so who/where/what needs to be done.

Thanks,

Glen

We did ours through NBAA. Just a simple form with the tail numbers you wish to have blocked. I think you can still find it on their website.

Pilot,

You don't have to be a member of NBAA to use the blocking service.

From the NBAA website:

BARR Program For Non-Members

As a service to the business aviation community, non-Member may participate in the BARR program. Non-Members must submit a written request to NBAA to participate in the BARR Program. The letter must include:

* the make, model and tail number for each aircraft to be blocked
* the reason that the request is being made, and
* the signature of the aircraft's owner or operator.

Non-Members must also include for each aircraft to be blocked:

* a copy of the airworthiness certificate, and
* a copy of the aircraft registration.

All BARR submission must be received by mail. Phone, fax or e-mail requests will not be accepted.

Here is the link to that page: NBAA BARR

Interestingly enough our tail number has been blocked for years. About 4 months ago I called to schedule an arrival at an FBO in FL and they had all of our info, including the CEO, CFO and actual company info, not the operational name that we operate under. A handful of phone calls turned up a company that gathers information on tail numbers and puts together a database for re-sale to FBO's and the like. After some calls, I explained that we block that information specifically to remain anonymous. They did remove the detailed information from their database...but I'm sure that won't stop them from doing it again.
