Purpose:
Job Title: Flight Test Engineer 2 positions
Location: Lexington, KY
Duration: 6 months -1 year (Very good possibility it could go long term/permanent)


Manager is in need of 2 Apache Pilots that have flown the Apache for a minimum of 5 years. He prefers someone with recent flight experience, but is willing to talk with someone that has not flown in 3 yrs, but is around the aircraft. Any duration longer than that he is not interested in for the position. The technology has changed too much. Most likely candidates may be in the National Guard. They need to have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance or reactivate one. This position is long term contract. Good writing skills for developing test plans would a HUGE plus.
This position will have the personnel testing and evaluating the Apache simulator for real life feel and accuracy to the actual aircraft. They will need to be able to help with the overall accuracy of switches/toggles in cockpit, as well as feel of the stick for accuracy.

Job Description:

Personnel will provide technical and program operations expertise in support of the Company?s AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter training programs. Skills will include AH-64 Apache helicopter flight operations ? both A model and Longbow, standardization, evaluation, flight training, tactics, weapons, and practical flight experience with a variety of flight environments. Personnel will also be able to interface with customer and local program management/engineering personnel in order to facilitate the successful delivery of the program deliverables.

The successful candidate will be a Master Army Aviator in the AH-64 and possess full knowledge of the configuration, operation, and handling of the aircraft. Additionally, the applicant shall have extensive knowledge of aircraft simulation and will be readily able to distinguish operational characteristics of the aircraft in a simulated environment. Personnel will be required to participate in the evaluation, test development, troubleshooting and repair of various training devices and be able to coordinate and communicate operational characteristics with Government Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Personnel will aid in the development of device test plans and procedures as well as perform quality assurance functions for overall device operation. Additionally, personnel will be able to effectively perform test flight and MOC operations within the aircraft and coordinate these operations with documented government requirements.

Position will require approximately 10% travel. The regular duty station will be Lexington, KY.
