Any information on who you would contact at Lakeland airport for corporate flying? How about any possible work out of TPA?

Thanks.

Straight corporate? Good luck. Lots of us in line for those few jobs in the area. You may want to try Southern Air Systems out of TPA(management company), or Air Logic Solutions out of Lakeland. SAS recently hired several guys for their Beechjets.

Publix Supermarkets is based at LAL. Last I heard they had a King Air and Be400. Don't know a contact but good luck.

Southern Air Systems is a major craphole of a place. They pay their FO's about 14,000 a year.

Are you serious? I had heard their pay was low...but didn't know they meant THAT low.

Yeah I know some guys that do contract work for them and they hire guys with less than 1200 hours and pay them crap and don't type them either.

They have a LR-60 too. I run into them on occation in FLL. Nice group of people.

Tampa/St. Pete has always set the low-water mark in terms of pay and working conditions. A few good corporate "Flight Departments" and the rest are more like "Battered Pilot Shelters". Pay by the day, in-house training, and pay on a 1099. Whoo-hoo.

I got my 300 hours of SIC time in 12 months, sent out a boatload of resumes, and got the hell out of there . . . . .
