So I got a flight comming up from HPN to TKPK. and I am trying to figure out the details. Fltplan.com doesn't do it, and duats does not give winds past bda. is there any way to do it for free or do i have to call colt or universal. the main reason i ask is that i am kinda close on fuel with calm winds.

Do yourself a favor and use a use Colt, Pacific, Universal, etc.... International flight plans are a PIA, they'll provide a good contract fuel price, arrange the handlers, and the weather data just isn't readily available.

I was fortunate enough to get some help from another lister last week with ballpark Caribbean winds, just to form a rough fueling plan. But when it comes showtime, its good to have current numbers. There's a lot of water out there, and not much land...

Now, if you're hinging on whether or not to go because you may not have the range with adverse winds... don't go.

Universal Scam

Universal will try to bill you $100 for the quote. What a scam..

Very easy, you don't even leave class I nav if I remember right, we were out of ORD, we coasted out over Charleston and flollowed the airways.

I think I hear the sound of the boss getting on an airliner.(or I hope I do)

If you're counting on winds then you're working entirely too hard. Otherwise, Universal seems to get the job done(the few times I've used them).
