Given that FLOPS will ultimately replace all of its GIVs, F50s and CL601s with Legacy aircraft, how well does the Legacy fit the "international" route profiles of some of the owners? Does the Legacy currently fly trans-Atlantic, to South America, to Hawaii, etc.? Can the Legacy come close to the versatility of the GIV on international flights? So, if I were a current GIV or CL601 owner, should I be concerned about flexibility with regard to international flights (say to Europe or even Asia)?

Also, does FLOPS use flight attendants on its Legacy aircraft?

Just fine, it could, it might, they shouldn't and only pretty ones.

Wow - how enlightening!!!!! Thanks for taking the time.... Anyone serious care to respond?

Are the 2 ramp-rash Legacies flying again ? What happened to the party responsible for that little fiasco ?

I just heard that the Challenger owners hate the Legacy. I think it does all the trips that you are talking about. There is no comparasion between the GIV, C601 and the Legacy. The Legacy is half the airplane that the other two are. Yes they use FA's onboard the Legacy.

I believe the two ramp wrecks are flying again. I heard they got demoted to FO but got to keep thier pay. Makes sense huh? The again at least one was a woman.

My first-hand info is quite dated... I worked in the OCC when the first
five came online. The owners were giving them a very cool reception, some
to higher degrees than others. Performance doesn't come close to matching
any of the other airframes mentioned above.

To answer your "international" question... they didn't during my short tenure.
It may fly internationally now (sorry, the best I can do for that question).

FLOPs does assign flight attendants to all large cabin aircraft flights (all
airframes larger than a Hawker).

Hope this answers your Qs.

Hypothetically, if an east coast based owner doesn't mind at least 1 tech stop going east, probably 2 coming back west, doing it all at M.75 (or less) to stretch the legs, and doing the crossing down in the mid 30's - oh, with less room in the cabin - then I'm sure the Legacy will fulfill their needs for international travel. And if it is warm, have lots of runway to get it airborne.

Seriously, there frankly is no comparison if you're discussing range / payload / runway flexibility between these aircraft. The G-IV was built for international legs, gets it's best range at M.80, goes high and has a relatively low cabin altitude (less fatigue) in cruise. As they relate to the FlOps fleet, the G-IV's are irreplaceable in this role. The CL601's are much closer to the G-IV in capability than the Legacy.

I'm guessing FlOps will lose most of the Challenger and G-IV owners before they'll go to the Legacy. It would appear they are willing to give this business over to NJI / FJ.

do a search on WSCOD.

What does one's gender have to do with anything?

The SIC on that flight ALWAYS HAD BEEN an FO. The Captain....well, I have no idea, other than the fact that she was still working here a couple months ago. They were both female, if it matters.

The DA50 does not have an FA. The Challenger, Legacy, and Gulfstream have FA's.

Well because the lady that was PIC has used the gender card more than once to keep her job. If it was me or another guy. We would have gotten a one-way ticket home.

because MANY times in aviation, incompetent wannabe guy-type chiks get into positions they cant handle because they are female.

All the time? nope. But many times - yes.......

simply the truth. God forbid we admit it.

With person in question about this incident. I have heard many of stories of her incompetence. I will say that we have men that work at Options that do not belong in the cockpit either. Does that make you feel better?

I'm not looking to feel better, I'm looking for facts to back up a claim made by Gulfstream 200. Plain and simple. It is obvious that my question was not directed at your post. For you to infer that it was directed to your post suggests that you have an agenda or chip on your shoulder....something other than reasonable thinking.

Enough of the male/female crap... How about addressing the original question regarding the Legacy.

You won't ever get any facts from Gulfstream 200. He likes to stir the pot and see what floats to the top. His elitist attitude will soon be his downfall.
