I applaude you for your stance on Pay for training, But even I will say you have to at least have your ATP. I think that would be a hard point to argue. But good luck anyway, I do like your thinking.

Just think of Gulfstream International in KFLL when you think of Pay for training. i think they have to pay like 26000 just to sit in the required right seat..nice hu....

That's exactly it. I won't call the kettle black, although the only person I'm hurting is myself. I just won't go spend 2000 big ones to get a job. I am done paying.

My Wife would be pissed if I went out and spent all that money to put three more letters on my resume and sudsuddenly become qualifid to submit and app. Besides, I can think of some other letters that may stand out more.

I don't know guys. I think that someone with morals and backbone could be an assett at FLOPS.

Good luck mu2

I found out today I can get a ATP MES for two grand. That's something I want and something no airline will pay for. Would this be an ok move? It's still and ATP.

To qualify as a NetJets Aviation, Inc. (Citation, Hawker, Falcon, Gulfstream 200, Boeing aircraft) pilot candidate you must have the following prerequisites:
  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
  • Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
  • 2500 hours total pilot time
  • 500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
  • 250 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in flight - excludes simulator time)

That's just stupid. Did you pay to get the CMEI ticket? Same thing. It's not PFT. Getting a 737 type to interview at SWA is more akin to PFT than getting an ATP.

It's like saying "I have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. No way am I paying to get an MBA just to get a better job." Stupid.
