Heard that Flight Express actually had some furloughs.
Can anybody confirm and if so, how many and why?

I have a friend who flies the 210 and he says that although hiring is slow they have not furloughed as far as he knows. I should meet 135 mins in a couple months and hope to have a shot at fltexp myself hoping that a walk in will help my chances.

FLX did indeed do some furloughing. Infact it will be a little wait before any hiring is expected. Quite a few runs were cut and that left too many pilots. Not to mention managment is always looking for ways to cut expenses and most standby pilot slots were already cut prior to this last cut.

probably more like "letgo's" than furloughs but what do I know? Either way, it's really slow right now. I can't see any significant hiring anytime soon. Good luck everyone. It will probably get better before we all need a rocking chair!

It's true we lost some runs that put a few pilots either on other runs or reduced pay due to partial cuts in the run. I don't know about anyone being let go as a result, but again there is no company newsletter or info flow to keep us posted of what's going on. I guess it's just like any other company--cross your fingers and hope for the best--and wonder where the Sales Department is and what they are doing to find more work for us!?
