I need some assistance with a Flight Express interview. A buddy of mine wants me to help him get ready for the interview, with the flows, and getting ready for the ATP. Anybody that has been through the training and/or interview please write with any info you have that you can share.

He was a bush pilot in Brazil in a past life, has CFI/II/MEI 1500TT 250+ ME in the US and hasn't done much actual instrument flying in the last few years...we're planning on lots of flying in as much actual as possible. We know the BNA & ORL approaches, etc. Is it still PCADT for the sim?

I have already been to aviationinterviews.com and have some of the paperwork and the flows; I just am looking for any more gouge to get him ready (and for myself in the hopefully near future).

His interview is 29 Nov. Thanks for the help.

Look in the archives, there is plenty of info on the sim ride.

One item that I would suggest is to visit the training managers website and download all the training guides. It is a lot easier to soak in all the information if you are not reading (or having it read to you) for the first time.

good luck.

Thanks for all the info, everybody. I am aware they are definitely needing pilots and he should have a fairly easy time; he just wants to be prepared. I have been through the archives and looked at some of the sim stuff; I was wanting to make sure they didn't change again.

Also I have been to the web page (austin collins) and downloaded the info. Thanks once again for all the help and fly safe.

Steps to passing the interview:

1. know how to fly IFR

2. take small mirror out of briefcase

3. place small mirror horizontally between upper lip and nostrils

4. make sure the mouth is closed

5. slowly exhale through nose so that Austin can see a "foggish in nature"
appearance on the mirror.

6. be willing to yourself to the mercy of 20,000 hour airframes in all types of
weather for a meager $10/hour.
