FE Training

Is there anywhere other that AeroService to get FE training anymore? Facilities used to be like fleas on a dog, now I cant find anything except AeroService for engineer training.

Maybe because the Flight Engineer position has gone the way of the rotary phone?

Many companies have gone to Professional Flight Engineers that are A&P mechanics that will never move to the right seat and will do maintenance on the aircraft where ever it needs it. Many companies do in house FI training.

Nobody said it's a good choice. The original poster asked if other training options toward becoming a flight engineer are available...and there are.

So, if somebody ask about a pizza recommendation in XYZ City, then post the worst possible choice.

avbug, I thought you had me on your ignore list. Please put me back on your ignore list.

I appreciate the comments gentlemen...all of them. I would never do the PFT route in the PEA sense of the word. I would however consider going somewhere like AeroService to train as an FE on my own dime if I thought it would get me out of this hell that I'm currently in.

If you hear of anything reasonable I would love to hear it. I will not do a PFT and I am happy where I am so not considering a move. I would like to have an F/E rating for the same reason I would like a float rating. Grins and Giggles. In my far off imagination I am planning on going to Alaska at 60 and flying round engines and maybe start off as an F/E. Pipe dreams but what the hell.
