Hey everyone,
I'm in the beginning stages of starting up a single aircraft flight department. ( again) I was getting all the paperwork ready when I realized that I had been using the same forms over and over again from years of copying and cobbling previous employers forms..( trip reports, flight logs, discrepancy logs, releases, etc)
I would like to see ( if you will ) other company forms, to compare, and select the most streamlined for my operations. I am just looking to see what else is out there. If you feel comfortable, pm me and i'll pass on my email addy where we can exchange info. Just leave your companies' name blank on the forms.
I am trying to get this done in the next month before I have to go to the print shop with the final design.
all help will be appreciated.
I have seen some fracs paperwork ( flight log) as all inclusive. flight times, expenses, maintenance. I would like to see the different types of forms you guys have without getting you in trouble.
Thanx in advance. HJ

Let me try to reword this. would someone like to share what they have on their flight logs with me that makes your paperwork streamlined. By streamlined I don't mean complicated. I have an idea of what i want but would like to hear from others. For instance, i have combined the aircraft discrepancy log on the same form as the a/c times. this may seem simple but it helped out immensely.
if you think you've got a good system, then feel free to desribe it for me, i'd certainly appreciate it.

www.fltplan.com nav logs are what we use on the flight deck for times (hobbs and block). In the aircraft can, we have a simple sheet that has RVSM instrument checks and engine monitoring blocks across the top, the middle contains an area to record a VOR check (first flight of the trip), and crewmember names, the bottom has end trip fuel remaining and aircraft discrepancies.

After each trip the sheets are transcribed into an excel spreadsheet that tracks flight hours, block hours landings, engine cycles, names/number of passengers flown, expenses, and departmental billing codes.

Just keep it simple and things work great.

Thanks, that's exactly the type of feedback i was hoping for. i'll remember the k.i.s.s. in the simplicity part.
Thanx FJ.
