I have tried to look up flight department information on Atlanta based companies, particularly KPDK and KFTY, however, I can't seem to find anything on the web. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Well, at FTY you have Coke, Coke Enterprises, Cox Communications, BellSouth, Georgia-Pacific, NAPA, Home Depot, Author Blank, Southeastern Foods, The State of Georgia, The US Marshals Service, The FAA, and probably a bunch more that I don't even know about.

Thank guys. Sleepy, you seem to know a lot about that particular airport. Have you tried to find work there? I am curious if it is difficult to get a resume to someone or do have you tried the knock on the door method.

Rumor has it that The Coca-Cola Company is looking for a pilot. CCE just finished a layoff and Home Depot is on a hiring freeze. I have not heard anything about BellSouth, Cingular, Georgia Pacific or Cox.

I work for one of the above mentioned outfits, actually I have worked for two of them. I answered an ad in the AJC to get the first job, and I used a connection that I made there to get the second. It really was not that hard.

There is also Hill Aircraft, they have some BE20's on charter. There is a management company at Raython that operates BeechJets.

It will be hard to just walk around and hand out resumes. We all have security around our hangers. It isn't the nicest part of town, I would not recommend walking around the area even during the day.

All of the big outfits at FTY (Coke, G-P, BellSouth, and Home Depot) post their jobs openings on their corporate web sites. That is the only way to apply.

You could drive around the airport and place your resume in all of the mail boxes. It will likely end up being recycled.

Yes, I forgot about Ted. I don't think they are hiring, not much turnover there. GP might turn into a good place to work now that they are under new management. I hear they are switching to the LR 45.

I thought GP got bought out by some company? Does not sound like to stable of a job now. You never know what's going to happen when you are bought out!

No, Koke Industries will run it as a wholly-owned. They are keeping the GP flight Dept. Now that Koke has replaced the top GP management with their own people it will probably be a better place to work (no more Ronnie Paul).

It seems that Coke is looking for someone as of 1/24. The position is called pilot captain. They want 12 years of experience (pretty vague). On the surface it looks like a chief pilot position. I saw it listed on AJC.com

I told you that you never know what happens when you are bought out!!! Just a few layoffs and who know what is going to happen next!!!
