When they go do the walk around in the the rain, they will be free to whine about what's painted on the outside.

In the mean time, no cream or sugar, thanks...I bought mine at Peet's 'cause your coffee sucks.

Little Debbie ads on the side? Now a swimsuit model? This industry keeps going downhill, further away from anything facilitating self-pride.

Hooray for tacky, tasteless, sell-out advertising. Maybee they can take that revenue and help prop up your ridiculous payscales. Oh wait...

They're OK... Not as hot as some of the actual Virgin, B.A., or AirFrance gals I've seen in Europe, but certainly better than your average F/A.

AirTran has its share of hotties, one of the guys who posts regularly here on FI is married to one of them. Of course, as usual for American girls, some of the hotties are a bit... err... unbalanced (not that pilot's wife, I'm thinking of an ultra-hot blonde who is just flipping CRAZY and the two or three ex-strippers we have working here).

But there's also some very attractive, well-balanced gals who are married and just do it for the flight bennies and insurance (I know, don't get me started on company insurance) before they have kids or after the kids have started school.

That said, I think one of the posters on our private boards said it best. Put Elton John in a bikini on the side of the plane or the Little Debbie snack cake in a bikini on the side of the plane, and about 60-70% of our F/A's would probably be in heaven... ;)

YMMV (disclaimer, I have nothing against gay or overweight people, I just don't want to be one of them nor do I have any intention of letting their irritation spoil a little fun. Neither does marketing, I imagine.) I would imagine if the AFA wants to get together and PAY the same money the marketing agreement will net the company, then AirTran would probably pull the sponsorship. Somehow I doubt the AFA will turn out to be *THAT* offended... :)

p.s. Did anyone ever hear who won the Swimsuit Model Vegas Trip contest? It was on the main website, but then quietly disappeared with no announced winner.

Riiight. Well as a hetero-sexual man... Non gay for you educationally challenged... I take offense to the picture of Elton John on their airplanes. I take offense to that!

Hey at least those flight attendants were quick to speak up about something they're concerned about. You don't see pilots doing that about something that they're concerned about, do ya? (scope anyone?) Some of ya need to stay up in that 2x2 space, keep that door closed and those ears on the radio and those eyes on the movie (or pac-man) playing on your laptop for $11 bucks per hour. I know its fun to pick on those FA's. Who needs 'em anyways when pilots already make FA wages, right? LOL. Just get rid of 'em and have pilots try to keep the customers coming back to fly some more. And, talking about big FA's and eating and all that.......have you guys or gals in the flight deck looked at the person next to you lately? Yeaahhh, the sad truth is that all those comments pertain to both sides of the flight deck door. People are getting larger and there's only so much abuse the poor sheepskin can take lol.

Isn't picking on fa's a nice change from the norm? (pilots picking on each other).

Someone's gotta defend the fa's sometime. I hear pilots talking crap about them all the time. Most FA's I know are pretty cool. Most could probably drink each you under the table. Oh and talking about FA's, I've got a question for all pilots, just to find out what the majority thinks.

When it comes to the cabin crew, which (from what you've experienced) type of crew is easier to deal with? (More relaxed has less/no drama and complaining)

All guys?
All girls?
Mixed?

I find that females usually have more issues and are also less likely to get along with each other.

haha-- dude you're probably the guy w/ a craigslist ad out- or a pager number on the bathroom. It's always the guys who have to advertise their hetero status who are usually tapping the bathroom stalls in MSP--

But if you really are bothered by elton john-- you're just as much of a moron as the FA's and people offended by the swimsuit model. Seriously- youre alive b/c your mom and dad were swinging off the chandaliers one night- sex is life... get over it-- or better yet- appreciate it.

This sux. Since when do flight attendants get to say how an airline is run or what promotions get put on the airplane. One of the best days I've had flying at SWA is when I flew "Swimsuit One" all day. Everyone loved it, except for a few goody-two-shoes pilots and some flight attendants.

Let the FA's start an airlines, and they can put what ever they want on the side.

Geez, the 'ladies' didn't protest when SWA put a whale on the plane (something close to their actual figures), but put something hot on there and they go apesh1t. Figures.
