I am considering sending a resume to flexJet in the next few days. Just wondering if there is a PIC turbine time requirement. I have my atp and 2500 total but have yet to log any PIC turbine time. I couldn't find that requirement anywhere so it thought i would ask. Also does flex pay during training?
Thanks

PIC Turbine not required

If you have 2500 total (not sim, as they don't count sim time), 500 multi, 500 turbine, an ATP, a first class medical, a valid passport and an FCC licence, that is what they require. Good luck.

You will get full pay and Per Diem during training. If you live in Dallas you'll get day per diem, if your from another gateway you will get per diem from the time you leave for training until you get home. Plus you will get to stay at the best hotel in the world.

If your not from Dallas they put you in what used to be called the Verizon, I think its changed names now though.

I start class on April 5th. I was told i'd be paid $1,528 base salary every 2 weeks plus 24 hr per diem, which is $42 per day, since I don't live there just yet. The hotel is the Verizon Conference Center, the same one they put you up in for the interview.

great avatar, bro!

About a month. First week is all company stuff like 135, CPR, customer service, etc. Then you go into ground school with systems intergration and then sim. After your check ride, you go and do you aircraft familiarization (Phase 1), get some time off, then go into phase 2 which usually takes 2 rotations. When done there, you will be a regular line pilot. Study flows, EP's and limitations every chance you get and it will make your training much easier. Good luck.

I'll see you there then. When did you interview? I live in Dallas already, so no hotel for me. The offer sheet I got mentioned the base salary during training, but doesn't say anything about per diem, guess since I'm local.

When JG teaches you how to fill out your expense reports she will tell you how to fill out per diem. When you get a company email address PM me and I will send you an electronic version to make life easy.

Thanks for the replies guys. Sounds like a good deal to me so i think i am gonna go ahead and send in a resume and see what happens.

Per diem is calculated automatically now so you don't have to do it on the expense report. You might want to fill it out anyway to have a good idea of the check you'll be receiving, but it's not required anymore. If you live in the Dallas area and are staying at home during training you will NOT be receiving per diem.

walshfly, I'd like to get my hands on that electronic expense report if you wouldn't mind sending it to me.

I interviewed on March 19th...U?

What's the dress code for class? Other than business/causual or whatever, are jeans allowed so long as they're nice along with a nice shirt as well? Are the classrooms generally nice temperature or do they keep them on the cool side? Just trying to pack accordingly...

V1, how many were in your interview group and how many do you think got the job. When did they let y'all know?

No, jeans are not allowed. Nor flip flops and ragged clothes. Business casual at all times. On day one, when you go to Waterview, you will wear business casual as well. Remember, you are dealing with Texas in spring and the weather is constantly changing. Bring a light jacket in case it is really hot outside and they cool down the building. Even though you are in training, you are representing Flexjet in front of Bombardier clients.

There were only three of us that interviewed on March 16th. Two of us for sure got it and third guy I think he was still taking his drug test when we left for DFW, but I'm thinking he got it as well. They told us the very day of the interview before they sent us to DFW to catch our flights home.

26th. There were only 3 of us in my group as well. We all got offers, but I know the other two weren't able to start right away, so they won't be in the Apr 5 class at least.

March 19th? I think I interviewed that same day. We'll definitely be in class together on the 5th. I was told the Verizon was full so they booked me the whole stay in a Holiday Inn. Do you have the same?

You guys will enjoy the hotel as it is the old Braniff bunker where they kept the crews and did training. I welcome you all aboard here at Flex and think you will have a great time.
