Anybody else notice that the new chief's communication skills are a bit lacking. I mean what's up with posting a new menu on the BB and not expecting the assumption by the crews to be that they could actually order from it, kind of a let down; or the lack of explanation of the new "no assignment rule"?
I've heard he's a good guy and should be a good chief and that positive changes are on the way, but he's now the person who guides us and I'm sure he must understand that clear communication is very important in crew relations.

Instead of posting that here where it does absolutely no good, why not post that on the BB or call him directly?

I still fly with guys that believe the company won't contact them until there "out of rest" time comes up. I've heard he's a good guy and should be a good chief and that positive changes are on the way, but he's now the person who guides us and I'm sure he must understand that clear communication is very important in crew relations.

Not very reassuring that our new Chief was turned down on an interview with FedEx not too long ago, while he was head of the CAB.

I don't fault anyone for looking to better themselves, but just don't pretend that FJ is the be all, end all of jobs. I just wonder if TC is still shopping for a new one now. Probably not.

Kind of makes you wonder if things are really as rosy as they are portrayed by those in management.

Getting turned down for a position is no measure of a persons quality. You can't win them all.

I could care less if he was turned down by Fedex, United or anywhere else. Maybe it was a dream of his to fly all night long, been there done that and don't want to do it again.
As per his communication skills, that might be true but I will judge him by his actions not his less than clear words.
I don't know him, but I for one am giving him a chance.
