Flatulence, not turbulence forces plane landing in Nashville
Flatulence brought 99 passengers on an American Airlines flight to an unscheduled visit to Nashville early Monday morning. American Flight 1053, rom Washington Reagan National Airport and bound for Dallas/Fort Worth, made an emergency landing here after passengers reported smelling struck matches, said Lynne Lowrance, a spokeswoman for the Nashville International Airport Authority.

Guess there will be more restictions prior to boarding an airline flight. Won't be able to consume beans, cabbage or drink beer...what a bummer.

I never considered the thought that passing gas in an airplane could be a security risk. And to think of all those times I "fired one off" in the cockpit...heck, I could've been arrested !!!
