Certainly the reduction of the LF for Sept was due mostly to the weather in Florida, but it is my belief that FL needs to move some of their 717's to the Midwest and Far West to spread the risk. They are just too heavily dependant on the East. They could do the same thing LUV is doing, and take some of them off the thin routes and move them to a more profitable domain like DFW or MDW.
Flyi has definitely put a dent in both yields and to some degree LF. Couple that with the continued expansions of WN, B6, and Spirit, added with a refocus of resources by DL to the East Coast and a possible LCC version of UAIR, it's time for a change.
