...was Sunday. Pretty kick ass. Did 3 fullstops, and that was it. First thing i noticed was how well it climbed. Flew up to 78N for GSO to solo with my instructor and parent. Climb at ~600fm with them in it, 1300ish with just me in it.

Any of yall still remember yours'? Oh yea, I'm 16 and a halfish.

Hahaha...yea, I remember mine, I was 33 years old. It was the weirdest feeling seeing 'god' jump out of the right seat after signing off and telling me to go fly.

It's a little fuzzy now, but I do remember being scared to death! Hahaha :)

Fly safe!

A moment you will never forget, no matter how many hours you end up with. Congrats!

they'll never feel the same again doooood, congrats. i remember mine very well, most significantly when the cfi hopped out and said good luck, walked like 2 steps came back took his headset and stuff and said just in case.

lol - i bet that built your confidence - who was it? :)

I remember mine too. My instructor told me not to turn unless instructed so by the tower. I was on a 4 mile extended downwind - tower still didn't tell me to turn, so i asked the tower. He told me turn whenever i feel like it. Was quite embarrasing - i made the rest in the pattern also extend so freakin long :)

Good job! Keep with it. being young is a very good thing in this day and age. I soloed at 18 and got the airline job at 22. The industry is coming back slowly but surely(contrary to the popular belief here at FI). As long as you make good decisions you will find yourself in a excellent position in a few years. Congrats again!!!

i actually thought i was a good idea. it was a guy named Brian K, hes long gone now. speaking of first solos, how many times did you check gear down in the RG on your solos?

twice.... On downwind while i'm lowering it & on short final.

why do you ask?

And how do you know i've done my 2 solos? Are you spying on me, muffin man? :)

Yep I will remember mine with deep love, still aint flying since a long time, but played a pretty cool simulator game at the movies today, felt very good it had a yoke, pedals, throttle, flaps switch. god I miss flying so much I think Im going crazy:confused:

Congrats! I soloed at 16. It was an awesome experience. I had to go around my first time around the pattern because a guy holding short decided he had enough room with me in my 182 at 1 mile final to scoot onto the runway and try to head out. Yee ha. Now you are on another step to learning till you get your license. Then you legally have your license to actually start learning!!!

I remember mine

Congratulations, I remember mine. In fact I can re-live the flight any time I want, I had it videotaped by a friend of mine.

fly safe

I remember mine too. 714TG, a 152 at LNS. I did my first "introductory flight", my first solo, and my first solo XC in that one. It's still sitting on the ramp (or the grass) by the FBO whenever I drive by the airport when I go visit my folks.

As I was rolling out on my last landing on my solo, the tower said that my father called over to congratulate me (he went way back with the guys in the tower). Apparently he was listening at home on the Bearcat scanner. I was a little flustered when I heard that, and I'm glad that I didn't know he was listening until after I was done, but it was still pretty cool.

Congrats man.
