Description:
Fire Scout Air Vehicle Operator/Engineer (AVO) Level 3 to include coordination with flight test operations, engineering, and aircraft maintenance disciplines. Responsible for all aspects of flight operation of Fire Scout, to include remote flight operation of helicopter in support of flight test activity. Plan, coordinate, and schedule flight test mission requirements with responsible engineers and aircraft controlling agencies. Develop and maintain flight test support materials and mission flight test profiles. Responsible for maintaining flight operation procedures and report generation. Requires a minimum of 5 years of flight test, engineering and/or control room experience. Must be Commercial Pilot with a current Instrument Rating and current Class III FAA Physical or better. Must maintain pilot currency with a minimum of 200 hours flight experience. Rotary-wing flight experience is highly desirable. Computer literacy, engineering and/or technical degree, TPS graduate, and military flight experience are also a plus. DoD Secret Security clearance is required. Security Clearance Required.
