What is up with that route of flight , It looks like they had to find another credit card to put on file midway trough the flight. Nickel and Dime Pdt.
Was it N838EX ??

Yea.. looks like they were headed towards BNA and then had something go wrong and headed towards ROA for repairs!!!!! lol

This thread sucks. Where are the pictures?

the aircraft was sold, not painted

haha you know the real deal with 838ex. that's why it was out on the line broke down last week, they were selling it and didn't want to waste money!

US Airways, having completed its deal for 92 new Airbus aircraft (ATWOnline, June 19), now will turn its attention to replacing the fleet of wholly owned regional subsidiary Piedmont Airlines. "A year we ago we announced we were looking at replacement [for the Piedmont fleet] but we redirected our attention to a larger order for the mainline," a US Airways spokesperson told ATWOnline. "Now that the mainline order is out, we will focus our attention on Piedmont." The regional, based in Salisbury, Md., currently operates a fleet of 56 Dash 8s. The spokesperson said that there are advantages to having an all-turboprop fleet for short-haul operations in the busy Northeast Corridor but that no decision has been made on aircraft type.

My guess is that they are gonna keep many of the Dash 8's that are owned. Hence the paint shop! With that in mind, I don't think they wanna run a mix fleet of ATR's and Dash's!! So look for more Dash 8's if an order is placed.
