Hi,

Can anyone from FedEx tell me what the conservative upgrade times are for WIDE SO, 727 FO, WIDE FO, 727 CAPT, AND WIDE CAPT please? By "conservative" I mean delaying upgrade to avoid reserve. I would be doubly appreciative if you could break it down seperately for MEM and LAX.

Grateful,
Tim

Anything else....coffee and a doughnut, maybe a back-rub? The stumbling block to your question is: "I mean delaying upgrade to avoid reserve". There are a lot of senior people that live in domicile that specifically bid reserve and VTO lines and that all varies considerably with the time of year.
In the past year, people have been hired directly into the back of the DC-10, right seat of the Boeing, and right seat of the Airbus (SFS). So, potentially zero time to upgrade. The junior 727 Captain had right at 4 1/2 years when he started his upgrade training. Figure 10 years for wide-body Captain, although that could drop considerably if they expand ANC as rumored.
Just like those stock prospectus warnings, past performance is not a guarantee of future earnings (or upgrades in this case). ;)

Thirteen years man! Everything is thirteen...hours days months years. Mark my words and start counting!
What's this guy thinking, the PIC time will get him a job at an airline?

Jeeze, maybe the value of mansions are going up and his realestate manager has a good deal for him?
