12 more new hires today.....What's the latest? hiring...bid....narrow body replacement.......Heard some new hires may be going to back the 10.

Saw Lewis the other day and someone asked him about the "big" bid coming out this month. The guy said "When is this big bid coming out and how big is it?" Lewis said, "As soon as I sign off on it and it's to big". He didn't elaborate on why he thought it was to big, though. 600 - 800 over the next couple of years. Lot's of MD11 coming. Mostly good stuff. There's a few angry guys running around still, but that's necessary I guess.

I've also heard that the MOAB (mother of all bids) coming in january will include 737's. No confirmation of this, but what good is a rumor if you don't spread it.

I heard Brown is buying FedEx and in addition to the staple, each FedEx pilot will have to moonlight as a Brown truckdriver five days per month min. Ouch!

Also heard SWA has already bought the rights to any rumored 737s FedEx is trying to aquire at 60% of the costs since UPS really doens't want them.

Should I stop now?

As for the stapleing thing, I don't think so.....Probably some pretty large fences! We keep hauling the trash, you keep cart'n Jerry's crowd around! Sound like a deal. Although we could use some of your FA's .
