Could someone tell me who currently works at FedEx how in the world do you get called for an interview?

I have nearly 12,000 hours and two recommendations on file. Do I need a third?

Nice attitude.

Whale Pilot ask the people who wrote you recs if they are willing to sponsor you. It's a bigger deal than just writing a rec - you can only sponsor one person at a time. Your sponsor will walk your resume into a Chief Pilot/ACP and either you or your sponsor will have to do a mini-interview before you get called for an interview.

Right now the only way to get your app looked at is to have someone walk in and say "Hey! Look at this guy!"

Hey Guys,

No harm done. My skin is quite tough after a career gone from TWA. I will speak to those who have been kind enough to provide me a recommendation and see if they will step it up a notch for the sponsorship.

I hope that I will someday fly with fellow bretheren at FedEx.

If your rec is from someone senior enough, you won't have to be there. My freind recommended me to the Chief pilot and was told to give him a call when I was within 2 month of availability. He e-mailed Jack on the 1rst I got the call on the 5th.
