Class of 16 started on Nov 1st. Rumors had been around that there might be one big class in Nov, like the class of 24 they had 2 years ago. It appears that those rumors were incorrect, but the good news (rumor anyway) is that there might be another class this month.

I heard today that there will be a class on Nov 29th, but I don't know how many will be in it and I can't confirm the rumor. We'll have to wait and see, but I think the source is pretty good.

I also heard that the next class after Nov will be Jan 3rd, with another to follow in Jan. Again, I don't know how many per class, but hopefully the numbers will continue to increase. 2 classes per month with 12-16 per would be very nice!

Good luck to those in the application process.

Also. . .How big is this year's "graduating class". . . I've heard between 200 - 250 this December. Anyone else care to repeat any rumors they heard from a "Ramp Agent who overheard Two Pilots talking" on their way to the crew bus last night??

As of about one week ago from flight standards, one more class of 16 starting on 29 Nov. Nothing for Dec and I would anticipate more in Jan. The current projected range for '05 hiring is 300-500. The financial gurus only release funding quarterly so no one will know the exact annual new-hire numbers for sure. Those likely depend, amoung other metrics, on the bottom line and how close the business model is to actual results, and of course retirements. Forecast is for sunny skies ahead

29 Nov is confirmed

I was invited to the 29th Nov Class.
I do not know how many "compadres" are with me.
How sweet it is.
Ricky:)

Good job Ricky. It's certainly a big accomplishment to get the call - it was when I got it. They ain't just giving those slots away.

You're going to enjoy yourself. You may even get the 10 panel if you want it. Lots of KC10 guys over here....

Not possible. The seat was filled with volunteers on the last posting. According to "The Agreement," there has to be a vacancy posting where the seat is not filled before it will be offered to new hires.

The only seat that wasn't filled on the posting was 727 S/O.

Tycer - - I have no idea what the future schedule is, but I saw interviewees in the building last week.

How does one start the application process at FDX?

$50 to apply online but rumer has it they won't even look at your app. unless a current employee introduces you to the chief pilot in person? A problem I'm encountering is that very few people I have flown with are leaving the regional level for the big show so I don't know anyone anywhere.

Thoughts and "constructive" comments appreciated.

A friend of mine got the call yesterday to be in the 3 Jan class. He couldn't make 29NOV due to mil conflict. Not sure how many in class, though.

Thanks Huck
