I've heard a rumor of an IND domicile in the future, but it's been just that; a rumor. Some say it's a definite go with the possibility of the looming expansion, and others say it will never happen due to a lower volume of commercial pax flights as compared to MEM. I could be wrong either way but maybe a FDX guy could chime in to shed more light on your question.

i was in IND the other day and they are really tearing up the place between the parallel runways. look like a perfect spot for FedEx to expand similar to the UPS ops in SDF

One can only hope. If I never go to Mem agian it will be too soon. It's amazing how half the people can load the jet with the sort 15 min late and still get you out on time in Indy.

The construction in Indy is for a new pax terminal.
