For this YEAR????? That sounds a little too much like a bad rumor! Where did you hear that - the guy trying to get me in said he was told 1 Feb, then 1 Mar - the 1-2 months. Nothing about a year.
I have buds that got interviews without ever doing a grip n grin. Talked to one on Sunday.

Fedex types tend to speak in fiscal year- which ends June 30. Maybe that's what they meant??

I had a buddy meet the ANC ACP and he got an interview. It works more slowly, keep in mind Joe doesn't go to the review board meetings.

Anyway, can we please call it The Meet and Greet? The other name sounds like some homo bar ad.

Meet and Greets I tried to drop off a resume to my ACP last week (3/1) and he stated that resume drops and meet and greets were on hold for 1-2 months because they have a pool. He expects the turn time from meet and greet to interview to be reduced quite a bit because the stack of resumes for most of the ACPs is pretty short. A mass email will be sent out saying the meet and greets are back and call to schedule.

I'm not buyin' the idea that meet'n'greets are ever shut off. I had mine right in the middle of the period they were absolutely, positively supposed to be turned off.

Today from the MD-11 ACP:

"Meet-in-Greets, Yes we are going to open this up within the next week to 10 days. You will be
officially notified and as we try to manage the storm of resumes. There will be some new procedures
to give everyone the same
opportunity to get their perspective candidate in the door. Stay tuned.."

We could use "Stand and Hand" or "Update your profile and smile".
