Does anyone have any info on FedEx's corporate side? I know they operate some Lears and Challengers, but I wasn't sure if it was purely "inside" hiring or not. I was told (6 months ago) there was a mandatory 3 year rollover where all the corporate pilots HAD to move over to flying the 121 line. Not sure if that still stands or not. I've also overheard a Lear 60 capt. say he flew FedEx corp. part-time for a couple of years before being offered the 60 position. He made it sound like a type of contract pilot, but I couldn't imagine a company like FedEx using someone like that?!

I read that it is an option if you want to move into the 121 side or not. This was in an AIR inc. interview with the chief pilot of their corporate side. It also sounded as if you have to either work for FedEx already or know someone to get into the corporate side. If I remember correctly, if you work at FedEx at any level (e.g., box tosser) for one year then you are eligible to apply internally.

Hey GV, I was just wondering what YOU might know about the pay at corporate?

From the capitilized "YOU" I surmise that this is a challenge - not a request for information... I know Kirby and you guys are not up to industry standard.

I hear that after 18 months to 2 years on the corporate side you can switch over to the mainline side. Not bad to have that option if you like... Pro Pilot wrote an article about the Fedex flight department 6 months or so ago - go check it out!
