LAX is pretty senior - I would guess 2 years at least to get there....
Reserve is a 3 hour call, I think. You can be called to ONT or LAX.
The flying fluctuates - a friend of mine out there says that alot of the int'l stuff is leaving and going to ANC.
Long term- LAX is a question. Previous system chief pilot famously said in an official email that he would close it down if he could.
