I work for Colgan, and through "hear-say", I was told pilots receive a 75% discount on packages through FED-EX. Today I sent two packages which cost $24.00 to send and received a discount bringing the price to $18.00, obviously not 75% off. The agent was not helpful, anybody out there know what the discount really is?

All airlines get 75% on overnight letter. The other things you ship depend on size and weight ,your box or ours as to what the discount is.

Yes there is an interline 75% discount but it is not for the "first overnight stuff", it's for second day air, etc. But...generally that stuff get's delivered overnight ( the next afternoon, not by 10 a.m.) if there's room on the plane. There is also a cutoff for interline discount packages approaching Christmas, i.e. after some date like 21 Dec, no interline discount packages are accepted. The interline rate is great though, for packages the discount makes it as cheaper, or cheaper than the post office but you can track it from station to station like any other FedEx package.
