So I am looking to jumpseat from DFW -MEM - SJU with a normal bag, but would also be carrying a larger hanging item with me (wedding dress). Is that going to be an issue? Its a DC10 on both legs I think. I could easly non-rev online but am looking to suprise and get there earlier. Any help would be great!

No, worst they do is put it in another compartment. Thats what they did with my snowboard because they were scared of its lethality.

Yea found that out today. Not a prob though. The hardest part seems to be where to park and how to get back to my car when I get home.

I also have no experience jumpseating....but have seen a notice in their operations area that said jumpseaters can bring only as much baggage as they can carry up the stairs in 1 trip.
I dont think anyone would have a problem with a wedding dress ....as long as you didnt show up wearing it.
