How often does the FAA publish the FAR's?
How often does the FAA publish the AIM?
I tried a search and I can't find this info. If you know the answer please also list the sourse. Thanks in advance for any correct answers

The FAA revises it whenever they want to. The companies who sell FAR/AIM every year publish them, well... every year. That doesn't mean that all the regulations are up to date and current. Jeppesen has a FAR subscription that works just like their IFR charts... you get the new revisions when they come out.

About the only way you could keeep up to date with the Regs. is straight from the source: http://www.gpoaccess.gov/ecfr/index.html
Goverment text subscriptions I believe are available.

Also search for NPRMs for proposed regs.

Next best thing is a Jeppesen subscription (and probably faster than agov't subscription). The other commercially published books should be considered references with possibly considerable lag time. ASA's book for instance will have current regs up to mid-September of previous year (August for AIM) in order to prepare it for publication. In the back you will find a mailer to get a mid-year update (usually comes by August).
